1. What We Store Locally in Your Browser
AlbionMeta uses your browser's local storage (localStorage) to store your interface preferences so they persist across visits. These values remain entirely on your device and are never sent to our servers:
- Theme preference (
theme): Remembers whether you selected the dark or light interface theme. - Server region (
albion_server): Remembers your selected Albion Online game server (Americas, Europe, or Asia) so calculators display prices for your realm. - Cookie consent choice (
cc_v1): Remembers whether you accepted or rejected cookie settings so the consent banner is not shown on every page view.
2. Cookie Consent & Third Parties
We use a lightweight, privacy-focused consent mechanism that detects whether a visitor is located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland using your device's local timezone setting (a client-side heuristic with zero external network requests).
When a visitor from these regions visits the site, all consent signals for advertising and analytics storage default to denied until explicit permission is granted. No marketing, advertising, or tracking scripts are loaded on AlbionMeta today.
Infrastructure: AlbionMeta is hosted on Cloudflare's edge network. Cloudflare processes standard transient HTTP request headers (IP address, user agent, requested URL) strictly for the purpose of routing traffic, preventing automated abuse, and mitigating DDoS attacks.
3. No Accounts, No Personal Identifiers
AlbionMeta does not operate user accounts, does not ask for registration or passwords, and does not collect your name, email address, or in-game character credentials.
4. Managing Your Preferences
You can clear your stored preferences (theme and server selection) at any time by clearing your browser's site data or cache for albionmeta.net. You can also reconfigure your consent preference at any time by clicking the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
