How We Calculate Laborer Yield & Profit

Sourced Game Data & Yield Cap

Laborer mechanics are sourced directly from ao-bin-dumps (gamedata.json, buildings.json, and items.json):

  • Maximum Yield Cap: In Albion Online, laborer yield is strictly capped at 150.00% (LabourerSettings @maxyield: 1.5).
  • Happiness Mechanics: Happiness is segmented at 100 per bar (@happinessperbarsegment: 100, @maxbarsegments: 9). In-game return rate depends on placing beds, tables, and trophies of the laborer's tier or higher.
  • Empty Journal Return: When a laborer returns from their 22-hour job, the empty journal is given back to the player, which can be resold or refilled.

Returned Materials & Valuations

Materials returned per profession based on journal loot tables:

  • Gathering & Crafting: Return refined and raw resources matching the profession tier (planks, metal bars, cloth, leather, stone, or fish) scaled by the entered yield.
  • Mercenaries: Return pure silver directly to the player without marketplace taxation.
  • Marketplace Fees: Sell taxes (4% Premium / 8% non-premium) and setup fees (2.5%) apply when selling returned materials and empty journals.
