How Transport Profit Is Calculated
Transport margins calculate the return on moving goods between distinct regional market economies in Albion Online.
- Item Weight: Loaded directly from
items.json@weightextracted from the official game binary dumps. Examples:T4_PLANKSis 0.51 kg,T8_METALBARis 2.56 kg. - Silver Profit per kg: Net silver earned per kilogram of inventory weight (
Net Profit per Unit ÷ Item Weight). This is the key metric for choosing cargo on weight-limited mounts (Oxen, Mammoths, Bears). - Trip Quantity & Market Depth: Trip quantity is capped at the smaller of your mount's carry capacity and the available market depth (
sell_amountat origin, andbuy_amountat destination for instant sells). Both the available depth and the limiting factor (mount load limit vs. market depth) are shown for every route. - Market Deductions: Selling into destination buy orders deducts transaction tax (4% Premium, 8% standard). Listing sell orders in the destination city incurs both the 2.5% setup fee and the sales tax.
- Price Freshness: Live market prices are sourced from our Albion Data Project snapshots (
prices.json). Orders older than your chosen threshold are excluded to protect against filled or expired prices.
