Albion Online Data Project Client

The Albion Online Data Project collects public market and gold data directly from players running the client. The client runs in the background while you play.

What the Client Reads & How It Works

The Albion Data Project client (albiondata-client) monitors local network traffic to identify Albion Online UDP packets containing marketplace orders and gold prices, and sends this data to a central NATS server.

The project is open source and licensed under the MIT License on GitHub.

Installation Instructions

Windows
  1. Download Npcap: Download the packet capture driver fromnpcap.com ↗.
  2. Install with WinPcap Compatibility: During the Npcap installation wizard, make sure you check the checkbox labeled "Install Npcap in WinPcap API-compatible Mode".
  3. Download & Run the Installer: Download the latest albiondata-client-amd64-installer.exe using the button above and complete the setup.
  4. Keep It Running: Start the client while playing Albion Online. As you browse markets in Caerleon, the Royal Cities, or the Black Market, prices are uploaded automatically.
macOS
  1. Download Archive: Download albiondata-client-amd64-mac.zip.
  2. Unzip Archive: Unzip the downloaded archive in Finder.
  3. Open Folder: Open the albiondata-client folder.
  4. Run Command: Double-click run.command and enter your password when prompted for packet capture access.
Linux (Debian / Ubuntu)
  1. Install libpcap: Run sudo apt install libpcap-dev.
  2. Create Bin Directory: Run mkdir -p ~/.local/bin.
  3. Download & Extract Binary: Runcurl -sL https://github.com/ao-data/albiondata-client/releases/latest/download/update-linux-amd64.gz | gzip -d > ~/.local/bin/albiondata-client.
  4. Make Executable & Run: Run chmod u+x ~/.local/bin/albiondata-client, then run ~/.local/bin/albiondata-client.
